If you are under 24, they will look to the tax status of the person paying the fees. If your father will be paying the fees, his status will be used. Be sure to put his address on the UCAS form where it asks for 'permanent address'. By the way, Spanish students pay the same fees as British students so it won't change anything.

No. You are a local & eligible to the benefits. Spending time away from your nation does not make you a foreigner.

Is it offensive to serve a guest from Spain corn on the cob?

Is it offensive to serve a guest from Spain corn on the cob?
We are getting an exchange student from Spain tomorrow, and I want his first dinner with us to be very American. I have read that some Europeans consider it offensive to serve corn on the cob because it is fed to pigs. Is this true of Spaniards? Thanks for your answers!

You are trying to do the best however he is visiting you .You are trying to be a good host.if you were in Spain and were a Guest you would accept any presentation. That's how we learn of other cultures
2 :
Take them to taco bell and feed them burriots. Tell them you highly recommend the "chalupa".
3 :
If everyone else is eating it as well, then I wouldn't worry so much about it. It is a part of this varied American culture to eat corn on the cobb, and therefore, your exchange student will be experiencing this. However, if I were you, I wouldn't "serve" the student this first meal - I would give him or her the opportunity to choose what to put on the plate. That way, if there is something that they are unsure about or don't like or are "offended by," you will be prepared.
4 :
If you're afraid your exchange student will be offended, don't eat it.
5 :
I'm Spaniard and no it is not offensive my mother just to make corn soup and she just to add the cob on the soup and that it was the way we eat it also some people think that Spaniards do not eat Oatmeal for the same reason-

did you try the pages of the Spanish embassy? Try it there. You can also look for an exchange program.
